The Great Outdoors
Fun Activities in a Beautiful Setting
The Villages of Citrus Hills offers ample opportunity to get outside and enjoy the beautiful Florida sunshine. Stroll along our Nature Trail, take the kids to the playground or hop in the car and head to one of the hundreds of nearby spots for fishing, kayaking, biking, hiking or boating.
Within the Terra Vista neighborhood is our meandering Nature Trail that takes you through woods, open areas and by our Lake Marie. Used by residents for walking, jogging or bird watching, the trail winds into the heart of Terra Vista. There you will find the Fitness Trail and Park. Take a stroll or a jog along the trail, stopping at some of the 16 workout stations that will help keep you in shape. Stop in the park for a game of basketball or bring the children to the Tot Lot playground. A new addition to our on-site amenities is an expansive fenced dog park with separate areas for our large and small friends. The dog park has doggie drinking stations, walking paths, a doggie wash station, restrooms and lots of room for roaming.
In the heart of Florida’s Nature Coast, the Villages of Citrus Hills provides easy access to many outdoor activities just a short drive away. Surrounded by water on three sides, Citrus County is a prime destination for scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing. Hikers, bikers and bird watchers will also love the nearby 41,000-acre Withlacoochee State Forest, which was named by the World Wildlife Fund as one of the top 10 coolest places you’ve never seen in North America.
Whether you prefer a vigorous hike through the woods or a leisurely afternoon on a fishing boat, there’s something for everyone to do outdoors at the Villages of Citrus Hills.
