With the opening of BellaVita in the Fall of 2007, the fitness programs of the Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club reached the pinnacle of the nation’s private club fitness facilities. The commitment to maintain its high standards has resulted in the recent purchase of $250,000 in cutting edge replacement fitness equipment for the 45,000 sq. ft. Spa & Fitness Center.

“Although the equipment at BellaVita is not dated and is in excellent condition, the decision to invest in replacing the equipment was founded in our commitment to maintain the finest private fitness centers available,” explains Director of Fitness Lee Thompson.

The new equipment at the BellaVita Spa & Fitness Center will offer the latest technology in cardio equipment including a collection of state-of-the- art treadmills. (more…)

For many lifestyle community residents the game of golf is a passionate pastime. For many others the thought of playing golf has been more of a passing dream.

When asked why golf was never pursued responses from aspiring golf- ers were not committing the time and energy to learn, and a fear of feeling intimidated by seasoned golfers.

In an effort to help would-be golfers the pros at the Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club have devised an easy and fun way for beginner and develop- ing golfers to become accomplished in the great game of golf. Tamposi-Nash, developers of Terra Vista & Brentwood, announce the acquisition of the Brentwood Farms Golf Course. This attractive 9 Hole Course is located in the heart of Brentwood at Terra Vista on a hillside site characterized by rolling terrain and vista views of the immediate Citrus Hills area.

Since its recent acquisition, renovations have begun on the pro shop and the course grounds conditions have been enhanced. This course offers an affordable golfing opportunity to compliment the special social member program currently available to club members on The Meadows course. (more…)

We all love an entertaining show. The song and dance that gets our feet tapping, the tunes that get our heads bobbing and laughter that leaves us with tears running down the cheek. These are all part of the experiences enjoyed by audiences at the entertainment events featured at the Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club.

At the helm of coordinating the full featured show schedule is Social Director Sharon Skeele-Hogan. Over the last few years Sharon has elevated and retooled the club’s entertainment events by expanding the scope of shows and catering to the preferences of members. (more…)

There are many aspects of Citrus County living that contribute to its casual way of life and comfortable neighborly feel. Among the most notable are the locale’s numerous fairs and festivals.  The events, including art shows, craft exhibits and specialty festivals, offer area residents an opportunity to load their social calendars.

The recent fall-holiday season offered a spectrum of activities fostering the community spirit prevalent throughout the region.  One Saturday monthly you’ll find the Market Day at Heritage Village in historic downtown Crystal River and the nearby Dunnellon Village Market in its namesake’s historic district.  Both feature a stroll through an outdoor market offering produce, flowers, antiques and crafts. “Coastal Living” magazine has announced Crystal River as one of the top 3 snorkeling destinations in the entire world.  Thanks to the river’s famous attraction of manatees, beautiful spring fed waters and preserved natural surroundings, the area has earned the world’s Number 3 spot on the famous publications list of Top 10 Spots to Snorkel.  Crystal River now surpasses leading locations in Belize, Jamaica, the Bahamas and Hawaii.
